How Much Americans Think to Retire?
Americans believe they know how much money they'll need to retire comfortably: 1.1 million dollars
Unfortunately, only over a quarter of workers (24 percent) believe they will reach that goal.
Schroders, a European financial management firm, found these very depressing results in their investigation.
The firm commissioned a poll of 1,000 U.S. investors aged 45 to 75 from around the country.
While some investors in the study anticipate they will come close to the $1.1 million target,
the majority believe they will fall well short.
Sixty-six percent of survey respondents anticipate to earn less than $500,000.
And only 36% of those in that group intend to save less than $250,000.
