How to Use the XAT Preparation Planner

Enter your target exam date, preparation level, and realistic daily study availability. Rate your confidence in each XAT subject. The planner then distributes your study hours, creates a recurring weekly schedule, and builds a preparation roadmap.

How study time is calculated

Available study hours are calculated from your weekday and weekend availability, adjusted for selected rest days. Subject study time is weighted toward weaker areas. Revision and mock-test practice are allocated separately so they are not counted twice.

What should you study for XAT?

Important preparation areas include Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. Practicing previous-year questions, analyzing mock tests, and maintaining an error log can help identify recurring weaknesses.

Important assumptions

This is a customizable planning tool, not an official XAT timetable. The tool does not predict admission chances, percentiles, or actual exam scores. Verify the current examination date, format, syllabus, and marking scheme through the official XAT website.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many hours should I study daily for XAT?

There is no universal requirement. Your available time, existing knowledge, and remaining preparation period matter. Start with sustainable study hours and review your progress weekly.

Can I prepare for XAT in three months?

Three months can be useful for focused preparation, particularly with an existing foundation. Prioritize weak areas, previous-year papers, timed practice, and mock analysis. Outcomes are not guaranteed.

How does this planner prioritize subjects?

Lower confidence ratings receive greater weight. The allocation is a planning heuristic rather than an official examination weightage.

Does this tool include Decision Making?

Yes. Decision Making is treated as a separate preparation area, including case-based reasoning, stakeholder analysis, and evaluating alternatives.

How many XAT mock tests should I take?

The ideal number varies by preparation stage and available time. Set your own target, then reserve sufficient time to review mistakes after each test.

Can I download my XAT study timetable?

Yes. You can export a CSV schedule or use the browser's print dialog to print the plan or save it as a PDF.

Will my saved plan remain available?

The Save Plan feature uses browser local storage. It may become unavailable if you clear browser data, change devices, or use private browsing.

Is this an official XAT preparation schedule?

No. It is an independent study-planning tool. Always verify current exam details through official sources.
