What are Unicode characters and how to use them?

To use emojis, we use Unicode characters. They are universal coding standards that assign a code to each character, emoji or symbol.

To insert any of the emojis in the HTML, for example, replace the characters U+at the beginning of all the characters, with an ampersand ( &), a tic-tac-toe or hashtag ( #) and one xin front, and put a semicolon at the end.

For example, 🤣I would insert the emoji of someone rolling on the floor from laughing so hard in the HTML. I was able to prevent the character from being displayed directly by putting backticks in front of and behind it. Without them wrapping the emoji code, this appears: ?.

For Unicode characters that have numbers specified for their execution, especially symbols, you can insert them into the HTML without adding the x. For example, —generates a dash (—).

Note: Depending on the browser or system, some emojis may not display correctly. An example of this is the flags that, instead of showing them, can only display their acronym. It all depends on the support each system gives to emoji packs.
